Update October 2018:

Canopus remains here in taxi-able order – there are currently some small issues with the emergency braking system, however this is being worked on and will hopefully soon be resolved. Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground hope to be back to high speed taxi runs in the Spring – the next taxi day open to the public will be on Sunday May 26th 2019.

There is no possibility of Canopus ever returning to flight.
