From August 1957 BOAC used this 2E for development work pending the introduction of the Comet 4.
Returned to de Havilland in 1958. It was then transferred to the Ministry of Supply in 1960 as XV144 for the Blind Landing
Experimental Unit in 1966. Broken up 1975 after storage at Farnborough
