Delivered to Ministry of Supply 1/3/52 and then leased to BOAC from July 1953.

Returned to MoS in Sept. 53. Used to develop Avon engines and for test flying

Transferred to RAF Halton for ground training in June 1959 and broken up in Sept. 1967.
